Government Degree College, Dooru (Urdu: گورنمنٹ ڈگری کالج ڈوُرو) is an affiliating college of University of Kashmir located in the Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir, India. The college is NAAC Accredited and recognised by the University Grants Commission of India, under sections 2(f) and 12(b) of UGC, Act 1956.

Location

The college is located in the historical Town of Dooru-Shahabad, on Anantnag-Kapran road at a distance of about 25 km (16 mi) from district headquarter Anantnag in the Indian union territory of Jammu and Kashmir. It is also located at a distance of about 80 km (50 mi) from state summer capital Srinagar and 0.5 km (0.31 mi) from Mughal garden Verinag.

Establishment

Government of Jammu and Kashmir established the college in the year 2005 under the Prime Ministers Reconstruction Plan.
