The NSS wing of GDC Dooru under the aegis of worthy Principal, Professor Jan Shabir Ahmad conducted ‘SWACHHATA PLEDGE’ on 6th August, 2024 inside the college building on the eve of 77th Independence Day Celebrations under the banner of ‘SWACHHATA PUCHWADA’.

Government Degree College Dooru celebrated International Yoga Day on June 21, 2024, with enthusiastic participation from both faculty members and students. The aim of the programme was to highlight the importance of physical and mental health, and to encourage youth, especially students to take active part in these activities.

NSS and Physical Education Department GDC Dooru, under the guidance of Prof. G.H. Thakur Principal of the college carried out an Anti-Drug Rally starting from the College and passing through Main Market up to Higher Secondary School Dooru.

National Service Scheme (NSS) wing of the college under the guidance of Prof. G.H. Thakur Principal of the college carried out One-Day tracking trip to Sarbal, Kapran.

A joint programme titled ‘Cleanliness Drive of Water Body’ was conducted by National Service Scheme (NSS) wing, Department of Environmental Science and Eco Club of Govt. Degree college Dooru on 5th June, 2024 under the banner of World Environment Day with the official theme of ‘Land Restoration, Desertification and Drought Resilience’.

An outreach programme on ‘Career Opportunities in the field of Science and Role of Mentorship’ was conducted by the Govt. Degree College Dooru under the aegis of worthy Principal, Prof. Gh. Hassan Thakur, sponsored by the JKScientists group.

A felicitation programme in the honour of students who participated in the 2-Week ISRO Start Programme was conducted on 27th June, 2024 in the Conference Hall, GDC Dooru.

NSS wing of GDC Dooru conducted a skill development programme titled ‘Paper Caft Skills’ on 15th June, 2024. The aim of the programme was to inculcate special handicraft skills among the students to train them for future life skills.

A group of 35 NSS volunteers along with faculty members were taken to world famous Dal Lake for awareness programme with regard to conservation of water bodies.

Department of Zoology carried out ‘Experiential Learning’/Study Tour to the Department of Bioresource, and CIRI, University of Kashmir on 16th April, 2024.

GDC Dooru conducted an experiential tour/college picnic to Pahalgam tourist spot. A group of 150 female students of BSc 2nd and BSc 4th Semester along with faculty were part of this college picnic.

GDC Dooru (Govt. Degree College, Dooru) under the aegis of worthy Principal, Dr. Gh. Hassan conducted online examination on 21st May, 2024 as per schedule given by ISRO Centre Bengaluru. The online examination started at 1:30 P.M. in the computer laboratory in presence of worthy Principal, ISRO Coordinator and other designated invigilators. All the approved and eligible students of ISRO Start programme were allowed to take the examination.

Govt. Degree College Dooru under the aegis of worthy Principal, Prof. Ghulam Hassan Thokar organised an Experiential/Study Tour to Kokernag Trout Farm on 20th May, 2024 for the students of 2nd Semester (Skill: Veterinary Technology). A group of 26 registered students were selected for this tour to provide first-hand information about the trout fish farming, fish culture techniques, modern techniques for development of fish feed and issues faced by the trout culture.

Govt. Degree College Dooru concluded 2-Week START ISRO Programme on 10th May, 2024 which was aimed to aware students about current knowledge of solar system, its evolutionary history, human exploration in deep space, use of advanced technology for solar exploration and India’s space expeditions.

Govt. Degree College Dooru launched 2-Week START ISRO Programme on 24th April, 2024 to understand various scientific aspects of solar system and its significance and Indias exploration endeavours. The programme was Kick-started by Principal Gh Hassan Thakur and witnessed participation of approved 30 students of college, faculty and nominated school students.

Govt Degree College Dooru, in collaboration with the Department of Social Forestry, successfully organized a one-day plantation drive on the college campus on March 26th, 2024. The colleges NSS, Department of Environmental Sciences, and Eco Club impeccably executed the program. The events core message was that planting trees can revitalize the land.

Govt. Degree College Dooru conducted painting competition on the eve of ‘International Water Day’ on 23rd March, 2024 with the aim to aware the students about the importance of conservation of water resources. The programme was jointly organised by NSS, Department of Environmental Science, Department of Zoology and Eco Club.

Government Degree College Dooru celebrated International Womens Day 2024 with great enthusiasm. The highlight of the event was the "Nari Shakti Fitness Run" for females, held on 9th March 2024.
